Development progress – Gauges!

Filed under: Electronics, Projects & Development — Tags: , , , , , — sinclairemotorsport @ 3:55 pm

Our new high precision and innovative gauge product prototypes are now in testing. Designed and built in house these offer a featureset and customisation posibility unrivaled in the marketplace at present. Single custom applications can be catered for, with the ability to measure and display multiple inputs. Mathematical functions can be performed upon the input data to allow the gauges to be used for analysis and research purposes.

New Electronics…

Filed under: Electronics, Projects & Development — Tags: , , , , — sinclairemotorsport @ 9:18 am

Coming soon to the market from Sinclaire Motorsport, our own range of in-house developed gauge/engine monitor systems, which can be customised to read from any signal or source you may require. The gauges take the form of a small LCD display (different sizes may be available to cater for differing amounts of information required). Hardware and Firmware design is all carried out on site, so entirely custom applications can be easily catered for.

Currently at prototype testing stage, we are now looking to finalise case designs and standard applications.
Advantages of our system over our competitors are…

  • Superior screen refresh speed gives true real-time display
  • Totally custom one-off applications easily catered for
  • Almost any combination of sensors can be displayed, and data used mathematically (ie, MAP vs. EMAP)
  • Small footprint units take minimal cabin space (essential for Elise applications!)
  • “Night-mode” – the gauge lies dormant until it needs to alert the user
  • Upto five sensors can be read and displayed

Cooler Honda…

Following on the back of our Katana chargecooler research, we are desiging a chargecooler system for use in our supercharged Honda applications. The new chargecooler is a retro-fit item that can be utilized in all of our DC5 inlet manifold chargecooler installations. It will give significant improvements in both power and torque throughout the rev range as well as increase the temperature stability of the air under extreme useage conditions.

Test results should be posted here shortly, as our prototype units are soon to be available for dyno testing!

Chargecooler for Katana!

Currently in development at Sinclaire Motorsport is our new chargecooler solution for the Katana supercharger  conversion, available to owners of the Toyota  powered Elise 111R. This will allow the running of increased boost pressure from the supercharger and as a result boost both power and torque throughout the entire rev range. The standard Katana kit produes around 240hp, with our chargecooler system we are aiming to see that increased to around 270hp!
